Q: How many hours will it take to run my business?
A: This depends upon your own level of commitment and income requirements. Using only the initial 5 machines as a guide, approximiately 2-4 hours a week. However this can easily be turned into a full time business by investing in additional machines within your territory (which we offer huge discounts on once you're a franchisee with us).

Q: Do I need sales and marketing experience?
A: No. Nor do you need any previous experience in the food/beverage sector, nor do you need to know how to manufacture a smoothie! (Our retailers do all the making). Don't forget that we site your first 5 machines for you and have a full support team available 7 days a week whenever you need it.

Q: Do I need to register for VAT?
A: According to HMRC, only if your turnover is likely to exceed £67,000 per year. However it may be financially beneficial for you to register on a voluntary basis, but we advise you to seek professional advice from an accountant or certified professional.

Q: What will my overheads be?
A: Your overheads will be minimal in comparison to a lot of other franchises - mainly the cost of visiting your retailers (fuel costs, which are tax deductible) to replenish their sachet supplies and collect your earnings. We can provide you with competitively-priced fruit sachets, or you may buy them from wherever you wish, it is entirely up to you (we do not believe in locking our franchisees in to buy products from us as others do, to bump up their profits).

Q: Can I develop my business beyond the initial number of machines?
A: Yes, and we will be positively encouraging and assisting you to do so. Remember the more successful you are, the more successful we are!

Q: Is my area exclusive?
A: Yes. No other Franchisee will be allowed to place machines in your area, which will typically consist of a full, or split, high level postcode. This exclusivity is dependent on your meeting certain annual targets.

Q: Do I need to invest in Commercial Freezers?
A: No. All smoothies will come in sealed thermal sachets that can be kept at room temperature (in a safe, dry place away from direct sunlight) and comply fully with Environmental Health & Safety legal obligations.

Q: How much is the Franchise Fee?
A: This varies depending on options selected, but a fully operational, 5 machine sited territory is available from as little as £4,995 inc. VAT. See our costs page.

Q: Are there any ongoing costs / fees after the initial fee is paid?
A: No. Our franchise startup fee is a one-off and is valid for the life of the franchise. There are absolutely no other fees payable to us to retain your franchise territory.
